You can’t have a list of tutorial channels for animation/vfx without mentioning the legendary Andrew Kramer. I hope that you’ll take some time to check out their channels and continue to improve your skills in animation and motion graphics. My strongest skill is character animation, which is why there may not be that many channels that focus on that area of animation. Also, I should note that these are my personal go-to’s for the areas that I need the most assistance with. However, in this article we’ll be sticking to YouTubers, since there are so many of them to highlight. There are hundreds, if not thousands of other great channels out there that exist on other platforms/streaming sites or have slightly different focuses. They are in no particular order of quality, but the general categories include: motion graphics, 3D rendering, modeling, dynamic simulations, vfx, rigging, concept art and industry advice for junior artists. That is why I’ve created a list of guardian angels that have decided to support the animation, motion graphics and vfx industries by creating YouTube channels dedicated to free tutorials. Whether you need to grow your skill sets, solve a design/technical problem, or generate new ideas, artists need tutorial videos to survive. In fact, I don’t know a single digital artist or editor that doesn’t use tutorials on a regular basis. In other words, the LEGENDS that make free tutorials online are absolute godsends and have allowed myself and many others to continue making a living in the animation industry. However, with so much information out there, you now have to weed out the unnecessary or unreliable content that will inevitably waste time and send you down a rabbit hole of algorithmic upchuck.Īs a 3D generalist, I discovered a long time ago that tutorials are the key to survival. You’ll find it with the other libraries on the left side of your draw.io canvas. You can fill it with just what you need for your current diagram and then use it like any other library. Scratchpad is your own, individual shape library. Scratchpad can save you all that time and effort (along with your sanity). You may even find yourself creating a custom diagram that utilizes shapes from multiple libraries, increasing your search time exponentially. I am used to using RPi boxes with various hats and USB DACs in a Squeezebox environment, but now wanting something more professional, polished and “appliance like.” Sorry to revive an older thread, but I wanted to ask whether there could or should be a list of streamer devices known to work well with Audirvana 3.5. Only one of our five has an external one connected. Oh… and the CCA DAC itself isn’t that bad. Even the closest competitors require something like Roon ($$$) and several times more expensive rendererers. It’s a real shame that Google killed the product, there’s just nothing like it at any price. I’ve even used a CCA in a car just to try it out and it worked perfectly until we reached limits of civilization… One travels with me everywhere - with a 4G/wifi router though. Grouping works amazingly well, we have five CCA’s at home and can rock the whole house down, or just parts of it and play something else at the same time. CCA limit, I suppose, but with certain kinds of music and more concentrated listening it’s a really annoying tiny pause The beat doesn’t go on… My only gripe with Plex+CCA is that it doesn’t do gapless FLAC album playback. The MacOS app for Plex isn’t able to use exclusive mode and switch DAC rates, at least not currently. I’m actually looking into Audirvana for the exact opposite reason I want to play stuff via an USB DDC/DAC with the best quality possible - but I still want a remote. Maybe Audirvana could expand to play this role as well, but currently it’s not an option. To get the full benefit out of Chromecast Audio you need a media server Plex is a reasonable and cheap (or even free) option, it also has a good remote for every platform. There are many different methods that you can follow to make your hollow chocolate spheres. I went to several craft stores and never had any luck finding them in person due to their popularity this year – but hopefully they will be returning to the store shelves soon now that the hype is dying down. If you get super lucky, you can usually find these molds at hobby and craft stores with the cake decorating tools. The only special tool you need is a silicone mold for spheres, like the ones in the affiliate link below: While hot chocolate bombs might look complicated, they certainly are way easier than they look.
